Mentorship In The Outdoors

For ages, the hunting and angling tradition has been passed down from one generation to the next. Under the watchful eyes of family or friends, many were taught the tricks of the trade with a neighbor’s 12 gauge or grandpa’s spinning reel. Yet, there a countless others who didn’t grow up in the outdoors, but take a strong interest in the self-reliance, connection to wild places, and nourishment that it can provide.

Opportunity Outdoors is a nonprofit that connects emerging hunters and anglers with mentors. Through in person events like hunts, scouts, and range days we help mentees increase their knowledge and gain confidence in the field.

Inspired by the North American model of conservation we recognize the historic role of sportsmen and women in protecting our natural resources. Opportunity Outdoors aims to bring new conservationists into the fold by taking the first steps into the woods beside them.
